Trout Lake Sanitary Trunk Sewer, Vancouver
Owner: Greater Vancouver Sewerage and
Drainage District
Description: Installation of approximately
1.3km of corrosion resistant sewer pipe and manholes. Installation
of 580m of pipe in a special open trench section, involving
continuous sheet pile shoring and dewatering and over-excavating the
trench bottom to firm bearing, through a soft peat and silt soil.
Construction of 200m long by 1.6m diameter tunnel,
with installation of 900mm diameter PVC sewer pipe, and placement of
cellular concrete in the annular space between the pipe and the
tunnel liner.
