Trout Lake Sanitary Trunk Sewer, Vancouver
Owner: Greater Vancouver Sewerage and Drainage District
Description: Installation of approximately 1.3km of corrosion resistant sewer pipe and manholes. Installation of 580m of pipe in a special open trench section, involving continuous sheet pile shoring, dewatering, and over-excavating the trench bottom to firm bearing, through a soft peat and silt soil. Construction of a 200m long, 1.6m diameter tunnel, including installation of 900mm diameter PVC sewer pipe and placement of cellular concrete in the annular space between the pipe and the tunnel liner.
